So you’re thinking about buying a Ninja Blender?
A fine choice!
They have been making superb blenders for many years now, offering affordable blending power that can still make delicious smoothies.
There are quite a few different models of the Ninja here and I’ve done my best to review them all and include my top picks for the best Ninja blenders which are all linked through to Amazon so you can order yours.
So without further ado let’s get stuck in!
In This Article
The Two Types Of Ninja Blender Compared
Ninja, in fact any, blenders come in two main types. You’ve got the personal blenders where you blend straight into a drinking bottle and the countertop blenders which are the traditional ones with the big upright jug that you blend into and pour out of.
Personal Ninja Blenders
Like I said these are the ones where you blend straight into the bottle, they’re perfect for when you want a nice easy blending experience that lets you make a smoothie and they take it out the door. Perfect for those who are too busy for breakfast, and super easy to clean.
Countertop Ninja Blender
Countertop blenders on the other hand offer more powerful blending and more versatility, so you can use it to make smoothies just as easy as you can to crush ice or makeup sauces to cook with.
If you just want smoothies than go with a personal blender but if you want more than that then you want the kitchen appliance that is the countertop blender.
The Best Ninja Blenders Reviewed
My favourite Ninja blenders are the new FreshVac models, I think soon everyone will follow suit and be releasing their own versions, so they are my top two choices for the best Ninja blenders. Check out the reviews next.
Ninja FreshVac Blenders
Ninja’s newest creating is their series of fresh vac blenders, which I have to say are pretty cool. It works by using a vacuum technology that you attach to the cup which sucks all of the oxygen out of the flask before you start blending.
Why?
Because oxygen spoils food once it’s been opened, it’s why apples turn brown and other fruits start to dry out, it’s also thought that once the oxygen is in it starts to lose nutrients and vitamins over time which is why you should normally drink a smoothie immediately after it’s been made.
But with the FreshVac it stays fresher for much longer so you can even make it the night before, keep it in the fridge and it will taste as good as it did when you made it.
There are two different models of the FreshVac so I’m going to review each below.
BL580 Personal Blender Review
The two models are of course personal and countertop and this is the personal size, it’s got 1100 watts of blending power, 2 automatic programs which is quite unusual for a personal blender and of course a pulse button.
With it comes the oh so exciting FreshVac for even fresher smoothies on the go, the ultimate in healthy breakfasts.

CT661V Countertop Blender Review
Have you figured out that BL stands for blender and CT for countertop yet? I won’t say how long it took me to realise…
What I like about this one isn’t just the sleek effects of the touchscreen controls but the fact it also comes with a personal blender attachment so you can use it as both. And it’s got smart technology built into it so it knows which attachment is present and adjusts its power accordingly so your cup doesn’t get damaged.
And the FreshVac technology does of course work with both, it can be attached before blending either wit the jug or with the cup.

Ninja Personal Blenders
Now let’s take a look at Ninjas personal blenders, they can get a bit confusing because they’re seems to be a lot more models than there is, for instance the BL456 has the same base as all the Bl45s the third number just changes how many cups it comes with and what size they are, so I’ve just included a review of each one and shared the differences below.
Nutri Ninja Pro 900 BL456 Review
The Nutri Ninja Pro 900 is everything you could need in a personal blender, 900 watts of blending power and Ninjas powerfully designed blades are ideal for delicious smoothies.
It works on a manual pulse so you just push the cup down and it blends circulating and blending as it goes, perfect no fuss blending.
That’s all there really is to say about this blender, it just does a good job, good container size, great power, strong blades and smooth smoothies at the other end.
The BL450 comes with 1×18 oz cup and 2x 24 oz cups, the BL451 comes with 1×12 oz cup, 2x18oz cups and 3x 24 oz cups

Ninja BL482 Review
The Ninja 480 series offer that little bit of extra power plus you get several blending programs to choose from rather than an on or off. You get Blend, Ultra Blend or the classic Pulse, this just offers that little bit more control over the type of texture you get with your smoothies.
The Blend and Ultra Blend are also programmed with the Auto IQ so they run automatically until your smoothie is ready, you don’t have to guess with the pulse feature.
The BL480 Comes without the 32oz Cup meanwhile the only difference between the BL481 and the BL482 is that you get an extra cookbook with it, plus for some reason the price tends to be lower… That I can’t figure out!

Ninja QB3000SS Review
The QB series is the old Ninja personal blender, before they brought out the IQ smart system and upped the power.
It’s still a good blender but it doesn’t offer anything over the other personal blenders and it’s not that much cheaper either, I’d sooner go for the Bl456 over this one.
But if you’re set on it it does still tick all the basic boxes, you can put this Ninja in the dishwasher, it’s got 700 watts of blending power which isn’t bad and it comes with 2 16 oz cups and a recipe book.
Power: 700 Watt

Ninja Countertop Blender Reviews
Now here things can get a bit confusing because there are a ton of different models of countertop blender, so I’ve done my best to organize and compare them all but basically I’ve ordered them roughly by popularity, so the most popular and the best ones are towards the top and the not so popular ones are further down.

There is also the personal blender attachment so you can blend right into the stainless steel cup giving you a really chilled beverage to take away with you.

Another more basic model but as a result a cheaper model, too, I’ve linked to the certified refurbished kind which are always a safe bet from Amazon as they’re thoroughly tested before they get resold. It’s often just replacing a faulty blade with a new one.
Basic settings, no personal blender attachment but you get a couple of travel cups you can pour into to take your smoothies on the go.
